Rainwater Harvesting from Axis Plumbers
Basic rainwater systems
At their very simplest, Rainwater Harvesting installations include stands and round water butts with a capacity of up to 400 litres. At Axis Plumbers, we can also provide Rainwater Harvesting tanks with a greater capacity, as well as free-standing and submersible water pumps.
Above ground rainwater systems
Above ground Rainwater Harvesting systems are known for their ease of installation and low cost. Their capacities can range from 800-litre plastic tanks all the way up to 100,000-litre steel tanks for commercial and industrial units.
Underground rainwater systems
If the amount of space you have above ground is limited, an underground Rainwater Harvesting installation can be used. The disadvantage of this system is the cost, with excavation work having to be carried out, and the fact that a pump will have to be used to distribute the rainwater from the tank.
At Axis Plumbers, we supply and install cost-effective Rainwater Harvesting systems to help you gather and reuse rainwater. Our professional, highly trained team can provide as much advice and assistance as you need, from recommendations on tank size to the most appropriate location for the installation.
With environmental issues and water usage coming increasingly to the fore, more and more homeowners are exploring the potential of Rainwater Harvesting to optimise water usage and reduce their reliance on mains water. As British summers are getting hotter and hotter, so-called ‘grey water’ systems have the potential to reduce domestic mains water usage by 40 to 50 per cent and cut your water bill by the same amount.
